CISTER
You asked in another post if I thought this board was too soft on relapsers. My answer is no,quit smoking, I don't think it's too soft on relapsers...however I don't think it's too hard on relapsers either. As long as there is somewhat of a balance of both tough love posts AND softer posts to a relapser, smoking cessation, I think that is whats more effective here. I have been the recipient of both kinds of posts when I came back to quit again. A relapser needs to remember that alot of members here spent much precious time and energy in suppporting those before they relapsed. A person that relapses here affects us all, imo...whether anyone wants to admit it or not. What really gets to me is when someone relapses and they did not even bother to post an SOS. That kind of tells me they are not all that serious about quitting this DEADLY ADDICTION in the first place. I also believe whyquits freedom site is ridiculous in the fact they do not accept a person back if they relapse at all. I would not have a two year quit right now if I was not accepted back into this communtiy here. The important thing is never quit quitting, sooner or later we can all get it right. And also it's MUCH easier to keep a quit than to find a new one especially if you have to come back here and confess that you relapsed. That is a VERY hard thing to do. Hope this answers your question to me.
